Stittsville Minor Softball Association
Part Time Paid Administrator
Due to the significant growth in SMSA over the past few years the Executive of the Association have decided to maintain a Part Time Paid Administrator Position.
Our current administrator, Karen Halse, is moving and will be greatly missed.

Resumes will be reviewed and only candidates being considered for the position will be contacted.
The intent is to have someone in the position for the fall of 2011 which is when the activities relating to the 2012 softball season begin.
Duties of Administrator Position
| City of Ottawa | -serves as liaison person -requests and attends meetings and prepares presentation materials as required |
| Field Permits | -prepares annual permit submission -makes additional requests as needed |
| Insurance | -handles annual insurance renewal |
| Other Associations | -serves as contact person -organizes All Associations meetings and takes minutes (if necessary) |
| General Organizational | -sets up annual debrief meeting and season planning meeting -establishes draft season schedule of events -publishes role worksheets and contact information -updates and publishes registration fees worksheet and local rules summary -organizes Coaches Meetings (both House League and Fun League) including Facility and materials |
| Facility Bookings | -arranges all Facility bookings (Lions Hall, Brown's Independent, Sensplex, Glen Cairn Community Centre) |
| Coach Clinics | -organizes Clinics (both House League and Fun League) including coordination with instructor Peter Read -arranges Facility and materials including worksheets and Rule Books -ensures lunch is available for Coaches |
| Communications | -drafts wording for registration signs, flyers, newspaper advertisements, registration database e-mail -arranges production and posting of signs, copying and distribution of flyers, placement of ads, and sending of e-mail to prior year registrants |
| Shirts and Hats | -handles supplier negotiations |
| Warmups/Pitching Clinics | -arranges Facility and organizes volunteers and necessary equipment -drafts and arranges distribution of related e-mails |
| Website | -ensures website is updated by providing centrally coordinated direction to Webmaster |
| Online Registration | -coordinates annual set up of Online System in conjunction with Webmaster -drafts and arranges distribution of all related e-mails |
| In Person Registration | -arranges In Person session including Facility, Volunteers and materials |
Time Commitment: Estimated to be approximately 300-400 hours per year primarily in the period December to April.
