Schools Program Coordinator
Softball Ontario is the provincial sport organization governing the sport of softball. Softball Ontario is a council organization and its goal is to promote and develop the sport of softball for its athletes, officials and volunteers by providing program and services at all levels of competition.
This position is an entry level position, ideal for the recent graduate of sports administration or related fields of study. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hart working person to co-ordinate our School Programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate Association’s Try Softball School Program
- Co-ordinate Association’s Active Softball School Program
- Attend Participation Committee Meetings to report on Association’s School Programs
- Attend and/or assist in staffing Association’s Community Events to promote School Programs
- General administration of Association’s School Program
- Manage School Program equipment and inventory
- Prepare all necessary evaluations and reports pertaining to the Association’s School Programs
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Sports Administration or related fields, or equivalent experiences
- Ability to co-ordinate programs to ensure proper administration, organization and delivery
- Knowledge of budgeting
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of softball
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willing to work evenings and week-ends as required
- Willing to travel occasionally
This full-time position is an eighteen month contract funded by Ministry of Health Promotion & Sport Canada under the Sport for More Program.
