Regional Coordinator

Softball Ontario is looking to recruit a series of volunteers from across the Province to assist us with the Participation Program!  The Participation Committee is looking for eleven (11) volunteers to fulfill the roles of Regional Coordinators. 
 
We are looking for one (1) volunteer from each of the following areas:

• Region 1:   Essex, Kent, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex
• Region 2:   Oxford, Perth, Huron
• Region 3:   Haldimand-Norfolk, Brant, Waterloo, Hamilton-Wentworth
• Region 4:   Niagara
• Region 5:   Peel, Halton, Wellington
• Region 6:   Bruce, Grey, Dufferin, Simcoe
• Region 7:   Toronto, York
• Region 8:   Durham, Victoria & Peterborough
• Region 9:   Northumberland, Prince Edward, Hastings, Lennox & Addington, Frontenac
• Region 10: Renfrew, Lanark, Leeds-Grenville, Prescott & Russell, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, Carleton
• Region 11: Haliburton, Muskoka, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Temiskaming, Sudbury, Algoma (Manitoulin), Cochrane, Thunder Bay, Rainy River, Kenora

What is a Regional Coordinator?

A Softball Ontario Regional Coordinator is to act as a liaison between Softball Ontario, the Participation Committee, and the House League Softball Associations within his or her region as well as promote Softball Ontario Programs and Services to the House League Softball Associations within the region.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates will :

• Have a working knowledge of the game of softball
• Show strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills as well as follow direction   

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities of the Regional Coordinator include:

• To Establish and Maintain Contact with House League Softball Associations within the Region
• Write an article for the Participation Program Newsletter regarding softball within the Region
• Distribute Softball Ontario News Releases to House League Softball Associations throughout the Region
• Attend the Get In The Game Symposium the last Saturday of February each year
• And more!
