Founded in 1982, the Blackburn Men's Fastball League is a recreational fast-pitch softball based in Blackburn Hamlet. Its membership spans the region and includes players from 18-years old to 50 and over. It is completely volunteer-run. All games are played on Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

This is a recreational league. Its primary purpose is to create an atmosphere that is enjoyable for all players. Umpires, team reps, and all players are responsible for maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Any incidents of poor sportsmanship should be reported to the league and will be dealt with on an individual basis by the league executive. We are a rural league that emcompasses 8 local communities within our Upper Ottawa Valley Minor Fastball League. We offer softball leagues for various age groups, T-Ball, Bumblebee (6-8yrs), Mite(9-10yrs), Squirt (11-12yrs), Peewee (13-14yrs) and Bantam-Midget (15-17yrs). They are Co-Ed leagues.
